Happy New Year!!
It’s a new year and many people get discouraged with the fact that ‘things’ have not gone their way in the past year. Maybe some (if not all) of your dreams or goals did not materialise. Maybe your efforts didn’t seem to produce the results you wanted.
Well, regardless of your outcomes, I encourage not to give up. You know what, it’s a new year - one filled with new opportunities. Rather than crying over spilt milk, consider what you might do differently. How might your approach change this year? The trap many fall into is not taking the time to evaluate their actions (i.e. the ‘what’, ‘why’, and ‘how’). Simply repeating the same attitudes, beliefs and behaviours will not serve you in any shape or form.
So, if you are not getting the results you want, CHANGE! For some, it could mean changing the actions they take (i.e. stop, start or continue certain actions) where as for others, you might have to change the goal altogether (are you trying to live someone else’s dream, live up to another persons expectations or values? Is this goal still important to you after all people and situations DO change? Do you need additional support? Maybe you thought you could achieve it on your own whereas, in reality, you need some form of support to help you get it off the ground and/or keep it going. Now there is food for thought.
